ColourPop

For a while now, I have been hearing about a makeup brand called ColourPop.  Well, one of my friends helped me make the decision to finally pull the plug and make a purchase.  And boy has she made a monster out of me.  Right now ColourPop sells Lippie Stix and pencils, and eyeshadows, and everything is $5 each.

 Eyeshadows

"Bill" eyeshadow

  "Girl Crush" eyeshadow
"On the Rocks" eyeshadow
"Effect" eyeshadow

These eyeshadows are very silky and feel absolutely amazing.  These are best applied with your finger for most saturation, but can also be built up with a synthetic brush.  I have also used other powder shadows in my crease and those shadows have always worked well with these.  I have used Effect as an eyeliner and I loved it!  I wore eye primer under these shadows, and they wore amazingly for at least eight hours.  These shadows are highly pigmented (as you can see), and like On the Rocks, the shimmery shadows are even more pigmented (blog post coming on that later).  You cannot de-pot these shadows because the lids need to be put on after each use, or they will dry up.

Lippie Stix

Lippie Stix, L to R: Cake, Fetch, Grind

These lippie stix are super amazing. I love the wide range they have.  They last a long time, too.  They are all moisturizing and overall awesome!  ColourPop makes lip liners to go with their lippie stix. What I like about these lippie stix is that you can put the color full on, or lightly dab the color for two different effects.

Have you tried ColourPop? What are your favorite colors?  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

My friend Julie blogs over at Alone with my Tea and posted her January goals.  I don't generally do new year resolutions, but I do like to reflect and make changes accordingly. After looking at her January goals, I decided to make some of my own!  So here they are:

1. I want to try to be more active on my blog.  This blog is very new, but I'm not posting very often, and I'd like to change that.

2. Drink more water.  There was a time where I would drink a lot of water, but I have gotten out of that habit.  I like how I feel when I'm hydrated.

3. Make more time for family and friends.  I'm horrible at calling people on the phone, and I'd like to change that.  I love nothing more than to hear my friends and family's voices.

4. Begin my list for the Use Your Hoard Challenge that Susan at Simplicity by Late Blossom started.  I have so many craft items that I don't use simply because I can't find them, or forget that I have them.  I'm hoping this challenge will encourage me to use my stuff I have sitting around.

What about you, do you have any January Goals? Or any New Year's Resolutions??
