Feather River Body Eyeshadows

A while ago I heard about an indie company called Feather River Body.  They sell pressed eyeshadows, highlights, nail polish and other beauty items.  I purchased several eyeshadows from Heather at Feather River Body and I'd like to share a couple looks with you today.  I haven't swatched the shadows yet, but I'm hoping to get to that soon.

The shadows shipped the day after I ordered them, talk about quick shipping.  They were packaged nicely and all arrived intact.  They are individually packaged in a cardboard container, and have metallic pans with the names on the back for easy reference.

These are the colors I got.  They are all beautiful and I can't wait to use them all.  They are professionally pressed and look very nice in my metal palette.

Here is the close up of the look I did.  I used about four shadows to get this look.  The eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and were very easy to apply.

Lost Princess is featured in this look.  This is the color I was most excited about trying upon receiving my package.  It is such a bright gorgeous color that made the blue of my eyes pop.  I am so in love with this color.

Have you heard of Feather River Body?  What do you think of their shadows?

Thanks for stopping by!

Sigma Creme de Couture Eyeshadow

I purchased the Sigma Creme de Couture Eyeshadow palette right after it released three years ago (at my first trip to the Mall of America!)  I have loved this palette since the day I bought it, and it continues to be a favorite of mine.

A while back I participated in a challenge with a couple friends on Instagram where we did a look based on our favorite holiday.  One of my favorite holidays is Easter, and I knew this was the palette that I needed to use to create my look.  Here are a few photos of my look.

Do you like to use pastel shades?  How do you normally wear them?

Vizio Makeup Academy Smokey Eye

Hello!  The next makeup assignment I did for Vizio Makeup Academy is Smokey Eye.  I used to be scared of using black eyeshadow in any capacity.  This assignment made me get way out of my comfort zone.  I was scared and nervous, but after a bit of time, it became easier and I was less nervous.

The part I was most concerned about was blending it out and not looking like a panda with harsh lines.  It took a while but it ended up working out.  This look is darker than I'm used to, but it grew on me.  I did this look back in July, and since then, I've branched out and started to wear darker colors.

Do you like to wear a smokey eye?  What is your favorite way to apply the shadows for a smokey eye?

Thanks for stopping by!
